Barbed wire is used as a standalone farm fence on posts, and as a topping over chain link or welded mesh boundaries to deter climbing. Navkar Fence supplies galvanised barbed wire in Type A (2.5MM x 2.5MM) and Type B (2.5MM x 2.0MM) constructions with 75MM or 150MM barb spacing. Closer barb spacing gives a stronger deterrent for high-security perimeters; wider spacing covers longer boundaries economically for agricultural land.

Where it is used
Barbed Wire applications
Barbed wire is used wherever a low-cost deterrent boundary is needed over long distances — agricultural land, orchards, plantations, grazing land, canal and pond boundaries, plot demarcation and site compounds under construction.
It is equally used as a topping over chain link, weld mesh and grassland fencing, strung on angle-iron cranked arms or Y-posts to raise the effective height of a compound wall for factories, warehouses, farmhouses, substations and railway boundaries.

Technical information
Line wire and barb wire diameters vary by type: Type A uses 2.5MM line and 2.5MM barb wire; Type B uses 2.5MM line and 2.0MM barb wire. Barb spacing is available at 75MM and 150MM. Coil weight and total length per coil should be confirmed at the time of order.
